Project Summary

The topic of this practical exercise was "Sentinel-1 data pre-processing using SNAP software," and it was part of the course Advanced Remote sensing in M.Sc. Applied Geoinformatics, University of Salzburg, Austria. In the practical, the following preprocessing steps were applied to a S1 scene in order to visualize lava areas on La Palma island:

  • Radiometric correction

  • Radiometric Terrain Fattening

  • Speckle Filtering

  • Geometric terrain correction
